send me đ + A SHIP and iâll tell youâ @magierogers bb!claudia x bb!alana
where they first met and how: at school, during a psychology lecture that spoke of the criminal mind. claudia spotted alana and started chatting her up.Â
how long their âflirtingâ phase was before feelings got involved: i say their flirting stage lasted pretty long and they still flirt now since theyâre both pretty young in this verse and still learning the ropes of love and relationships. so everything is both still new and exciting to them.Â
who fell for who first ( if applicable ) probably claudia. she found alana looking at her - but not looking at her the way others did - comforting. she made her feel like a normal person and not some weirdo.Â
where their first date was and what it was like: claudia took alana to mini golf dskljkldfskldf she knew it was tacky as hell but alana made a comment about not needing to be wooed with expensive things, so claudia quickly cancelled her fancy restaurant reservation and set up a date for them at the put-put & arcade.Â
who asks who out and how ( with a sign? spelled out on a cake? just a simple âwill you go out with meâ? ) claudia asked out alana. sheâs blunt so it was a pretty straight-forward ask, yet somehow romantic?
who proposes first: in an au where theyâre together past college, iâd say cloud. which is so funny cause otherwise itâs the other woman. but in claudiaâs head sheâs the protector so she feels like she should propose dsfjlkdfkjd
if they keep / kept their relationship secret or let everyone know right away: let everyone know right away. claudia thinks alana would hide it cause sheâs a bit of an oddball, but she doesnât seem to care, and to be honest claudia never embarrasses her. like sure sheâll go on a tangent about some cool thing she learned but she always shuts up when alana gives her a polite look.Â
where the proposal happens and how ( kiss cam at a baseball game? on a hillside surrounded by ducks? at a disney park? ) In an au it happens at a beautiful garden near a waterfall while theyâre on a private vacation that claudia convinces alana to go on with her.
if they adopt any pets together: claudia has a three legged dog named cerberus who is a handful so i donât think she adopts more pets
whoâs more dominant: claudia but itâs not like obnoxious.Â
where their first kiss was and what it was like: their first kiss was in the university library and it was short and sweet and it surprised cloud.Â
if they have any matching couples stuff ( mugs? sweaters? pillowcases? ) claudia buys them all sorts of matching mugs hahaha and sweaters because sheâs secretly soft. BUT DONâT TELL ANYONE
how into pda they are: they hold hands and kiss in public and itâs no big deal.Â
who holds the umbrella when it rains: claudia holds the umbrella and gets sopping wet so alana doesnât
where their usual âdate spotâ is ( if applicable ): probably the park where they just read over their studies and talk and cuddle and swap kisses
whoâs more protective: claudia says sheâs more protective but i say alana
how long it is before they sleep together ( can be as in âhad sexâ or as in âshared a bedâ ): itâs around a week because claudia takes alana in as a roommate after the lecture they meet at. alanaâs roommate is hard to live with and she needs a place to stay and claudia needs a roommate or her mom wonât let her live alone.
if they argue about anything: claudia getting into trouble. alana is like the âno david noâ book sometimes
who leaves more marks ( lipstick, hickeys, scratchmarks etc. ): alana and claudia is a blushing mess the next day
who steals whose clothes and how often: claudia steals alanas clothes but alana also steals hers soooo
how they cuddle ( spooning? facing each other? ) facing each other sdflkjslkjsd
what their favourite nonsexual activity is: dancing together barefoot in the kitchen
how long they stay mad at each other: not long, claudia may be stubborn but she listens to womenÂ
what their usual coffee / tea orders are: alana likes light coffee and claudia likes hers somewhat dark
if they ever have any children together: in an au mayhaps
if they have any special pet names for each other: alana calls her âdarlingâ endeeringly and claudia melts
if they ever split up and / or get back together: when they get older because claudia is likeâŚ...set on having a career in the fbi, even if it means leaving alana :(
what their shared living space is like ( messy? clean? what kind of decor? ) clean af
what their first christmas / hanukkah / etc as a couple was like: alana got so many gifts
what their names are in each otherâs phones: idk what alana has her in her phone in but claudia has her under âin bloomâ
if they have any âcouple traditionsâ ( buying a new mug for their collection every year? baking every friday evening? ): going to the movies every friday is their thing
who falls asleep first and who wakes up first: alana falls asleep first but cloud wakes up first
whoâs the big spoon / little spoon: alana is big spoon sometimes, othertimes cloud
who hogs the bathroom: claudia hogs the mirror
who kills the spiders / takes them outside: lol none of them kill the spider they put it in a cup and let it go
#elliesfinishedworks#( writing: claudia darling | youth )#( otp: claudia x alana )#kldsfjksdfj i had to do it#could be wrong

TWD 10x14: Details
Okay, letâs talk details! Iâll try to cluster these by character:
Negan/Daryl:
When Carol goes to see Negan and make a deal with him, he says he wants, âa T-bone, a beer, and a scoop of Rocky Road.Â
Naturally, the beer reference caught my attention. But it also occurred to me that Rocky Road is ice cream. So, we can obviously link the beer to Beth, and the rocky road could be a reference to Darylâs frozen yogurt âI never.â I donât know how to work the T-bone in. Maybe itâs less about the meat and more about the T. As in, a cross. (@frangipaniloveâ also pointed out that as ice cream is frozen it goes with the coolers/frosty cola theory)
Negan says, âI get it,â at one point. Kind of small potatoes, but Beth dialogue always jumps out at me. During the âI donât think sheâs coming back conversation, Negan gives Daryl a canteen of water. Just the fact that water is involved in the scene is more evidence that this is meant to be a Beth reference. Negan also says, âIâm not bullshitting you.â
I also noted that when the three whispers (rule of threes) kneel to Negan, and he ends up shooting them, thereâs only one bullet in the shotgun. Iâm not trying to say anything in particular about that. But we can have the âI get it now,â line, and then thereâs one bullet in the shotgun (dude is shot pretty brutally in the face) and then of course thereâs everything I talked about yesterday with him saying, âI donât think sheâs coming back.â Just lots of Beth related details around Negan and Daryl here.
And as I said yesterday, I hope thatâs a hint that both of their future arcs will intersect with Beth in some way.
Eugene/Ezekiel/Yumiko:
Thereâs definitely a fool/foolish theme going on here. Iâm not entirely sure what to make of it yet, but it definitely is linked to faith. You often hear phrases about âa foolâs hope.â It just means believing when thereâs nothing left to believe it anymore. So, youâre a fool to believe it. But thatâs also the strongest form of faith. And we heard this theme over and over again this episode, both from Eugene and from Zeke.
Eugene and the bunnies. Actually lots of interesting symbols in this conversation. He says his mother grew up next to some train tracks, like the ones theyâre currently passing. We saw train tracks not only leading to Terminus in S4, but also associated with Beth in Tyâs hallucination in 5x09.
Then he says his mother was a âpistol,â but she used to buy the bunnies for Easter, so heâs come to associate the chocolate bunnies with âfamily.â Beth, anyone?
Then Yumiko says, âweâre not really on a journey to find chocolate bunnies, are we?â He answers, âNo. Weâre on a journey for the future hope of mankind.â Yeah, seeing all kinds of Beth symbolism there.
There is that cage full of walkers that Eugeneâs group sees. So, we have two walkers in cages and then a bird in the third compartment. I think we could interpret that several ways.
I think this Stephanie thing will lead to Beth and the helicopter group in some way. We just donât know how, yet. So, the two imprisoned walkers could represent the two sheriffs (Beth and Rick). Then again, perhaps the bird represents Beth. In which case, the two walkers might represent Rick and Zeke, since I think Iâll three of them will be part of the helicopter group and have death fake-outs at some point.
The yellow rope is also interesting. Perhaps it suggests the three of them escaping imprisonment together?
Letâs talk in a little more detail about how they are foreshadowing Zekeâs death fake out. His horse collapses suddenly and Zeke sees a bite on it. I went back and watched the scene where Zeke was fighting the walkers. We donât actually see the horse get bitten, but at one point, one of the walkers staggers toward Zeke from near where the horse is standing. So, Iâm kind of thinking thatâs where it happened.
And itâs similar to how they showed Carl getting bitten. As in, they didnât really show it, but if you know to look for it then you can see where it happened. Zeke is very emotional and sweet with the horse. He keeps telling it, âitâs okay, itâs okay.â Also Beth dialogue. And then he puts it down.
Another thing that occurred to me is that itâs almost as a parallel to Carol killing Lizzie. I say that because 1) he âputs it down,â obviously feeling heartbroken about it. 2) Thereâs a flower graffiti on the bridge pillar behind him. And 3) this episode is called, âLook at the Flowers.â Then, as I mentioned yesterday, he tries to get Yumiko to promise to leave him behind if heâs too weak and falls. She says no, but it still feels like something exactly like that might happen.
Yumiko has a cool line. She says, âI donât know what lies ahead. Probably things none of us can predict. Or imagine.â Yeah, that still make me think weâre looking at a cure arc pretty soon. But itâs just a cool, very hopeful thing to say.
And letâs not underplay the fact that theyâre camping under a bridge. We donât see anyone fall off it or anything, but keep in mind that in Fear, Madison was kind of under/beside a bridge just before she disappeared. And I believe her âdeathâ is a fake out as well.
Letâs address the Princess stuff. Look at the stuff in this picture with this walker. The first thing that struck me was that itâs sitting in a rocking chair. When the Governor went into the retirement home in 4x06, there was a walker tied into a wheelchair. So, different kind of chair, but visually it looks similar.
As I said yesterday, these walkers look a lot like the Rich Bitch walker from the golf club. If you zoom in on the table, thereâs actually a mannequin abdomen, just like we saw with the Rich Bitch walker. There are also pink shoes, lanterns, a blue umbrella. Plenty of pink. The two at the table are holding cocktail glasses. Not sure what to make of the guy on the motorized scooter.
Upon seeing all the purple @wdwayâ pointed out that purple is an important color where Advent is concerned. Hereâs what she found:
So, purple actually heralds the coming of Christ. And blue, wellâŚ..
They walk past a food truck. Itâs actually a burrito truck in this case, but in Alone, Maggie laid down next to an ice cream truck when she was waiting for Sasha. Because of the water and freeze symbolism around that (think blue coolers and frosty cola) weâve always seen that as part of the Sirius symbolism.
Beta:
We definitely heard a lot of the hear/see/speak no evil theme. Beta keeps asking the Whisperers around him if they can hear Alpha speaking to him.
(When he takes her head off the pike, he cradles it like a baby. Yikes!)
When he gets to the western saloon place, he finds a note that says these two eyes see one truth.
And letâs talk about this western theme. Weâve seen it a lot in FTWD, and there are hints to it earlier on during S7/8, such as with the Smokey and the Bandit trailer and the Highwaymen.Â
@frangipaniloveâ found THIS ARTICLE for us in which AK talks about how S11 will have a huge western theme. So, this is all foreshadowing that will be paid off at some point. And letâs also appreciate that the word âsheriffâ has its origins in the old west. So while weâre still hoping weâll see Beth alive before the end of the season, and not face another long hiatus not knowing, this may suggest that S11 will deal with old west things, including, you know, sheriffs. ;D
Inside the saloon, we see tons of interesting symbols. The semi-circular bar looks just like the one Beth looked for booze behind (where she found the peach schnapps) in Still. There is alcohol, spoons, musical instruments and equipment, a music stand, candles, a mini fridge, records, plenty of interesting colors. You name it, itâs a Beth symbol.
Weâre also wondering what heâs called Half Moon. Itâs obviously symbolic, and the moon is linked to the Sirius symbolism, both because we saw the moon in Still and because of this picture from 4B of a dog chasing moon. Weâre just not exactly sure how to interpret the half-moon thing yet. @wdway did some research I wonât go into here that also links it to Easter and resurrection. Just saying. ;D
Thereâs a battery next to his record player. And he uses the music to call the walkers. Weâve seen that theme lots of times before, and often associated with Beth stuff. In 4x01 at the Big Spot. With the green Gremlin car at Hilltop in S7, to name a few.
Beta says to Alphaâs head, âThank you. I see now. Thank you.â Then he fixes half of his broken mask with skin from Alphaâs face.Â
Carol:
It struck me that Carol hallucinating Alpha was actually a lot like Daryl hallucinating Merle in S2. Not just because of the hallucination, but also because the hallucination was razzing them, calling them names, and was obviously a representation of their own mind and the worst things to think about themselves.
One detail that jumped out at me is that when Carol is trying to get the boat down, thereâs a pink blanket or tarp next to it. I thought of the Pink Theory, of course. Then Alpha says something interesting. She said that Carol even sent a letter to Maggie about Alpha. Itâs kind of an interesting detail to throw in, especially because they donât go into detail about it. It could foreshadow Maggieâs return, but I also think there must be a specific reason they mentioned this. Iâm interested to see how that plays out.
The walker that tried to buy Carol crawls out of the river. And when itâs trying to get her, Alpha accounts, one, two, three.
Alpha also says, âMy mother used to say everything works out the way it supposed to.â Yeah, that was something Mica said in 4x14, The Grove. Like, those exact words. So itâs kind of disturbing to hear Alpha say them. And that made me realize that her earlier, whiny apology, when she was saying, âIâm sorry youâre mad at me,â was supposed to emulate Lizzie in a super-twisted way. Remember, Lizzie got upset and started crying because she thought Carol was mad at her? Yeah, seriously traumatic, twisted stuff. Â
Oh, and thereâs another one of those. I caught that Alpha counted after telling Carol to the let the walker bite her. She says, âOneâŚtwoâŚthree.â I wasnât sure what that was at first. I was just thinking Rule of Threes. But then I realized. If you go back to episode 4x02, where Lizzie and Micaâs father died, they counted too. They would say, âlook at the flowers. One, two, three,â like they were counting breaths to calm themselves. So once again, hearing old lines in Alphaâs twisted voice.
And one way I could kind of obliquely relate this to Beth is simply to point out that, while a lot of people in the fandom may think this stuff is ancient history, itâs truly not. The characters are still dealing with events from S4 and S5 in a big way. So why would we discount Beth from that? Well, TD definitely wouldnât. ;D
Okay, Alpha says some really interesting things to Carol (all equally messed up). At one point, she says, âAnd now you canât go back. They wonât accept what youâve done.â So, the Canât-Go-Back theme. We heard that a lot in S5.
Then she says, âBeing out on your own, youâve tried it before. They always pull you back. Wanting more. Love Motherhood. Death. But they donât know what you truly want. Admit it. What do you want? What do you want? Say it. Say it.â Carol doesnât admit to anything.Â
And I had to sit and think what it is Alphaâs referring to that Carol wants. At first, I thought maybe it was forgiveness, and really, she needs to forgive herself. But looking at the intersection of the other character journeys, especially Zekeâs, I realized I was wrong. What Carol wants is death. Sheâd never admit that, even to herself, but she wants it to be overwith.Â
And weâve seen this from her before. Sheâs not one that would take her own life, but back in 6x16, when the Savior shot her, she was literally begging Morgan to either let her die or kill her. She wonât do it herself, but her world and the things sheâs done have become too dark and too much for her to bear, and she longs for death.
Just then, a walker bursts from trees and grabs her. She kills it easily enough, but it reminded me of the walkers coming out of the trees at the gas station in 4x04. And that makes sense because Tyreese was going through much the same thing then as Carol is now, after losing Karen/Henry. And, okay, this is a total side-tangent, but I almost wonder if that was the rationale for putting Tyreese and Carol together in 4b. I mean, they were connected anyone because she was the one who killed Karen. But him transcending what happened and forgiving Carol was kind of a foreshadow of Carolâs much more protracted arc to try and transcend the things sheâs done and the things that have happened to people she loves. Â
Itâs also important to note that this mirrors what Iâve always said about Carol in the Grove. She was talking about Lizzie when she said, âsheâs too dangerous to be around peopleâ and that whole speech, but she was also talking about herself. And this is another version of that. Alpha is saying it but thatâs Carolâs own inner voice saying everything. So look at some of this dialogue in that light.
âItâs finally time... You always knew how this would end. No oneâs coming to save you. Not Ezekiel. And certainly not Daryl. Not after what you did to Connie. Stop fighting. No matter what you do, you lose people. Sophia, Lizzie, Mica, Henry, Ezekiel⌠And if you go back, Daryl could be next.â
âI could never let that happen.â
âYour track record does not inspire confidence. Just look at the flowers, like youâre supposed to. OneâŚtwoâŚthreeâŚ
Just really interesting.
Okay, Iâll stop there. Thereâs probably more but you can all study the episode and find it. This is the kind of stuff thatâs sprinkled throughout the entire thing and itâs all really interesting.
Thoughts?

Planning Your Ideal Vacation â Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals
We understand there is so much more to your vacation than just accommodations.
When you think about your next holiday what comes to mind?
Weâve put together the following information to help you choose your vacation destination.
Where should we go? Looking for something that is not a densely populated tourist hot spot? Anna Maria Island (AMI) Florida is a little gem along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico that offers a perfect mix for those seeking total and utter relaxation or those wanting a more active, but still relaxing vacation. Anna Maria Island with 7 miles of bright, white powdery sand beaches, crystal clear turquoise water and old Florida charm is a popular tourist destination unlike others. The locals have done an amazing job of maintaining the islandâs charm with no chain restaurants and no high rise buildings. You will find old beach cottages, gently swaying palms tress and award winning picture perfect beaches. Combine all that with the beautiful Florida sunshine and you have the idyllic atmosphere of Anna Maria Island. Watching sunrises colouring the radiant sky or viewing spectacular sunsets you will be delighted you have come to this beautiful Island.
Where will we stay? Stay with Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals and you will have everything you could possibly need to spend a vacation in paradise. From the white sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island, private beach access, luxurious condos featuring a heated pool, lanais overlooking the beach or pool and amazing location, we offer everything you need for a blissful, tropical vacation.Â
When should we book? Reserving your rental at least six to 12âweeks before you travel will improve the variety of inventory available. Typically our rates are not subject to the same changes as airfares or hotel rates. Thinking the inventory is unlimited? It's not. Supply is limited and when supplies run out, so does your chance to book. So, our advice...if you like it, book it as soon as possible.
When is the best time to go? Anytime. If you want to enjoy a tropical climate, then Florida is the place for you. Florida has an average annual high of 80F, offering year round sunny, warm weather.
Every year residents from the northern United States, Canada and other cold weather countries flock to Florida in search of sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Because of this people think the months from January to April offer the best weather of the year. But, other months offer an equally perfect vacationing environment â
For example, Anna Maria Island, Florida from December to March sees average day temperatures from low 70âs to high 70âs. April to June low to high 80âs and July and August mid-high 80âs with some low to mid 90 degree temperatures. September to November low to high 80âs.
In my opinion, May and mid-September through November offer the best in terms of ideal temperatures â both air and water. Average daily highs ranging from low to mid 80âs and Gulf of Mexico water temperatures hovering around 80F delivers near perfect conditions for your vacation. These months are usually dry with lowish humidity and on top of that are quieter months. The snowbirds are gone, kids are in school which mean you have the Anna Maria Island beaches almost to yourselves.
Temperature tolerance is different for each of us. Some people think they will melt in the Florida summer heat. For me, summertime weather on Anna Maria Island is ideal. From June-August, average daily high temperatures range from 85 F - 91 F. With a 5-15 mph tropical beach breeze felt most prominently on the beach, most find it is quite comfortable. The Gulf of Mexico is typically 5-10 degrees cooler than the air temperatures making the water pristine! A swimsuit, cooler and beach umbrella are all you need for a most enjoyable day on the beach.
As you plan the perfect trip, remember any time of year is a great time to vacation in Anna Maria Island.Â
How will we get there? Plane, bus, train or car?Â
One of the many advantages of choosing Anna Maria Island as your travel destination, is that it is easily driveable from most American States and Canada. Plus, there are five International Airports within 2 hours of Anna Maria Island. Most visitors either fly or drive, but if thatâs not your thing and you are willing to spend a little more time, consider travelling by train or bus which is as much an experience as it is transportation. Wether you arrive via air, train or bus there are many transportation services available to pick you up and deliver you safely to our condos.
How far is it from the airport? The closest airport to us, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), is approximately 15 minutes. SRQ is a relatively small airport making it very easy to navigate. The baggage area is easy to find and the car rentals are in the same area. In 2018 SRQ added a series of new destinations flights from budget airlines to/from some very popular locations. With many low cost, non-stop flights now being offered, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport is our the airport of choice. Tampa International Airport (TPA), another great options for our guests, is exactly 1 hour door to door. TPA offers an abundance of flights to many destinations. The driving time to: Orlando International (MCO) 1 hour 50 minutes, Clearwater/St.Petersburg (PIE) 45 minutes, and Fort Myers Southwest Florida (RSW) 1 hour 40 minutes; these are great airports as well.
How can we get around? Worried you wonât have a car when you arrive, donât be. Unbelievable as it may seem, you really can get around the seven mile Island of Anna Maria without a car. Anna Maria Island offers you several transportation options: the Free Island Trolley operates daily from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm running approximately every 20 minutes. It will take you from Anna Maria at the northern tip to Coquina Beach, the Southernmost point of the Island & yes, it is FREE. Island Monkey Bus, a tip only ride service on Anna Maria Island and beyond. Golf cart Rental is readily available and a fun way to see the Island. Bike rental. Walk. Shopping, restaurants, and loads of activities are all within walking distance of our vacation property.
Upon booking with us, we are happy to help you choose the means of transportation that is right for you.
What will we do when weâre there? There is plenty to do on Anna Maria Island (AMI) Whether youâre looking for a quiet escape from reality or prefer a more lively experience thereâs something for you on the island. You can go to the beach. With private beach access you will find less crowds in an area thatâs almost exclusively yours. Walk the beach, you have 7 miles of it to enjoy or if you want true relaxation, sit and listen to the sound of the waves. You can bike the Island. Rent a bike and discover the Island, the peaceful neighbourhoods and the slow lifestyle of AMI. Follow along an unbeaten path, you never know what you might find. Go Paddleboarding, jet skiing, sailing or kayaking. Rentals are available right on the beach. Walk to Historic Bridge Street on Bradenton Beach. You will find lots of quaint shops, restaurants, and a nice pier at the end of Bridge Street. Well youâre there stop for a game of mini-putt and then to the courtyard at Blue Marlin where you can listen to live music and enjoy some delicious seafood. Rent a Golf cart or take the Free trolley to the North end of the Island. Have your picture taken at the old Anna Maria Jail and go shopping on Pine Avenue. With no shortage of shops you will find quaint, boutique clothing stores, culinary specialty stores, and more! Take your wallet as is likely you will find something you want to buy.
Can I play golf? - There is only one golf course on Anna Maria Island and it is gorgeous! The club is members only, but you can pay a guest fee of around $500. A little pricey for most, but donât be discouraged there are many courses near Anna Maria Island.
Bradenton Country Club is a beautiful course designed with fountains, lots of trees, and lagoons. It is a 18 hole course located just 10 minutes east of the Island.
Timber Creek Golf Course is a nine hole course located 10 minutes east of Anna Maria Island. Not only is it a budget friendly course, but perfect for beginners and families.Â
Manatee County Golf Course is located in West Bradenton, about 10 minutes from Anna Maria Island. This public course will challenge even you scratch golfers.
IMG Academy Golf Club is a prestigious club located about 15 minutes from Anna Maria Island. Facilities include a driving range.
So as you can see, yes you can golf when vacationing on Anna Maria Island. For a full list please inquire upon booking with us.
Can we take yoga classes?
Yoga on vacation, of course! Beach yoga or in studio classes are available.
All weekly studio classes are on a DROP-IN basis. Gentle and Flow classes limited to 25 students. Restorative classes limited to 15 students. Once your reservation with us is confirmed please request yoga information. We will be happy to provide you with everything you need to get in touch with the local yoga group.
Is it a good place for the kids? Not only is Anna Maria Island beautiful, it is also a great place for families. The island is not overly large. It is big enough to offer lots to do and yet small enough that everything is easily accessible.  On AMI, you wonât experience long lines, crazy traffic or other headaches while on vacation with your little (or big) ones.
Here are a few of our family favourites:
Go to the beach - Build sandcastles, swim, throw a ball around, bury each other in the sand. There are so many fun things to do at the beach.
Hunt for seashells - You can find shells anywhere on the beach, but for really great shelling go to Greer Island aka Beer Can Island. Located just south of Coquina Beach it is a perfect spot to grab some beautiful shells.
Get Donuts - This is always at the top of our list. The Donut Experiment for the most delicious donuts. You must experience these made to order donuts with multiple options of glaze, toppings galore, and even a drizzle of choice!
Play Miniature Golf â A fun activity for all ages. Who doesnât love watching the ball sink in the hole? On historic Bridge Street which is full of other shops, restaurants and activities, so you can spend a whole morning, afternoon or evening there.
Or, rent kayaks and tour the mangroves, visit Mote Marine & Aquarium in Sarasota, parasail, the list is almost endless.
Where will we eat and drink? Our condos are complete with fully equipped kitchens and there are several nearby markets to find fresh local seafood, locally grown seasonal veggies and fresh spices. There is also a Publix Supermarket on the Island a few minutes from our condo and Island delivery service is also available.
We always suggest our guests dine out at least once. Why? Because the food on the Island is amazing! Beach towns arenât always known for great food, but thatâs not the case on Anna Maria Island. Whether you opt to dine at an upscale restaurant or prefer a more casual relaxed atmosphere you wonât be disappointed with the islandâs culinary offerings. There are many restaurants in Anna Maria Island, each one offering something to suit every taste and palate. Would you like to dine with your toes in the sand, indulge in the freshest local seafood in a classy beach setting? Whether you prefer American food, Italian, barbecue, pub food, Mexican, German, you name it, you will find it on Anna Maria Island!
The following restaurants are all within walking distance of our condo. Walking times range from 2 to 15 minutes: Anna Maria Oyster Bar On the Pier, Beach House, Blue Marlin, Bridge Street Bistro, Bridge Tender Inn, French Table, Island Creperie, Island Time Bar & Grill, Kokunut Hut, Oma Pizza & Restaurant, Seafood Shack, Smoqehouse, Tide Tables Restaurant, Wicked Cantina.
When planning your next vacation, put Anna Maria Island on the top of your list. Weâre certain you will be delighted as you take your first step on the white powdery sand beaches and look out onto the long stretch of turquoise water. For us, each visit is a beautiful as our first visit. Even after 30 years, we are still in awe of the breathtaking beach views and everything else AMI has to offer. The Lifeguard by Jenna Moquin
Shonda wrapped her arms around her waist and shivered as the sky darkened. When the clouds came in, Andy had texted she should close the pool early, and sheâd made the announcement from her lifeguard chair.Â
âBut itâs just clouds!â Mrs. Moulaison had protested.Â
âSorry, Mrs. MâAndy said to close up. You know how he is.âÂ
Shonda shrugged and gave Mrs. Moulaison an apologetic smile. She didnât want to upset the woman whose family owned half the town, but she had to follow her bossâs orders.Â
She glanced at the bulletin board above the check-in desk, and the âMissingâ flyer caught her eye. Margaret "Maggie" Townsend had been missing for weeks, and the edges of the flyer were frayed, discolored.Â
When most people saw the flyer theyâd do one of two things: avert their eyes, and, Shonda assumed, make themselves think about something besides the poor girl and what mightâve become of her. Others would look directly into the face of Margaret âMaggie,â sigh and cluck their tongues, and say what a shame it was. How pretty she was. Theyâd speak of her in past tense, as if the verdict was already in, and she was no longer of this world. Shonda was part of the first camp, trying not to look at the flyer as she thought about other stuff, like the summer school classes she had to take because she failed English this year.Â
She stashed her copy of Wuthering Heights with her notes in her locker. She pulled on her hoodie and got everyone out of the pool with a few short whistle blows while the first tentative raindrops fell from the sky.Â
Mrs. Moulaison griped as she gathered her things, and said sheâd speak to Andy personally about how cautious he was over a few harmless raindrops. Shonda smiled and nodded. If anyone could get the rules changed in this town, it would be the Moulaisons. That name was plastered on almost everything in McDonough Park from the bed and breakfast to the auto shop, with several apartment complexes in between. And now that her father-in-law had passed away, Mrs. Moulaisonâs standing in town had risen even higher.Â
After everyone left, Shonda went inside to the locker room. There was an eerie emptiness heightened by the cold grayness the day had become that gave her goosebumps. The picture of Margaret âMaggieâ on the flyer made Shonda pause, and instead of averting her eyes, she looked at the girlâs eyes in the photo. They were dark, and very round, penetrating, intense for such a young girl.Â
The day she went missing was the last day of school, and it had been raining just like today. She was in the same class as Shondaâs sister Luci, and although they werenât really friends, they were friendly enough to smile and say âHi!â every day and âHave a fun weekend!â on Fridays.Â
âShe was just walking home from schoolâŚand then she never made it home!â Luci had wailed the day she went missing. She was so upset she cried in their motherâs arms and slept in her room that night. Shonda recalled Luci clutching her pink bear Rufus, although sheâd said that twelve was too old for stuffed animals.Â
The police didnât have any suspects, or leads. No strangers seen in town, no relatives wanting custody, unlike Shonda and Luci, whose father went back and forth from deadbeat dad to self-righteous recovering-alcoholic dad. Lately heâd been threatening their mother for full custody, which didnât seem likely to happen.Â
Shonda sighed and looked at the rain, and the wet gray color it made the concrete surrounding the pool where the children ran everyday despite whistles and shouts of âNo running!â from her and her fellow lifeguards.Â
It was mid-July, about six weeks of summer left. Classes would start right after Labor Day, which was early this year, on September 2nd. Shondaâs last day at the pool would be a week before school started, which gave her just enough time to buy some back-to-school outfits and supplies.Â
This was her senior year, and sheâd have to start looking at colleges in the fall. She didnât want to think about life after high school just yet. Eighteen didnât sound like an adult age, though she would turn that magic number just after Christmas. She didnât think she was going to become an adult just because she would be one legally. As much as she enjoyed feeling like a grownup earning her own paycheck at the pool, she liked being in this middle state of not having too many responsibilities but also being somewhat independent where she could drive her motherâs Subaru to the movies by herself, but didnât have to pay the car insurance.Â
There was a noise behind her. It sounded like someone with wet feet slapping against the floor as they walked. Shonda turned. The locker room was empty.Â
She locked the back entrance, and took the large golf umbrella Andy kept by the door. She rushed out into the rain to lock the gate, and saw movement near the pool.Â
âHello? The pool is closed!â Shonda called out.Â
She looked toward the diving board, where she couldâve sworn she saw a dark shape shifting, but no one was there. She shrugged and locked the gate, figuring it was a dark flash from the rainstorm, and rushed back inside.Â
Her bag was underneath the check-in desk, and her car keys fell out when she grabbed it. The clanging sound they made startled her. Shonda reached down to pick them up, and when she stood up someone appeared in front of her.Â
The rotted green skin and sunken cheeks on the girl standing there made Shonda hold back a retch. She looked like sheâd crawled out from her own grave. The resemblance of the green-skinned girl and the girl in the âMissingâ flyer was unmistakable. She had the same eyes from the photograph.Â
Shonda shook her head and backed up, and the heavy lock hanging from another locker dug into her back. The girl stepped closer, her movements jerky as if she were in pain. Her feet, covered in dirt and moss, slapped against the floor. She held out her scraggly hands as dark water dripped off them.Â
Shonda didnât know whether to help the girl, or run for her life. She froze while the girl reached out and grasped her arm, her green fingers colder than ice and almost glowing against Shondaâs brown skin.Â
The girl leaned forward with her teeth bared. Shonda screamed and tore her arm away. She ran. Her keys jangled in her hands and she stashed them in her pocket. The wet feet slapped behind her, slow but heavy.  Â
She reached Andyâs office in the back, and locked the door behind her. Breathing heavily she crouched behind the desk and peeked out from the side, keeping her eyes on the slat between the floor and the bottom of the door. She waited to see a scraggly shadow of feet appear through the slat. She listened for the sounds of wet footsteps, but all she heard was the pounding of her own heart, and the harsh breath coming from her throat.Â
She didnât see any foot shadows. She didnât hear any wet slapping sounds. Shonda began to breathe evenly when her phone vibrated and dinged, loudly, with a text.Â
Shonda sucked in a breath and her heartbeat quickened. She glanced at her phone.Â
>>Can u pick me up at the library ?
It was a text from Luci. Shonda checked the bottom of the door. Still nothing appeared there. No movement. Her heartbeat settled down and she stepped out from behind the desk. Having her sister on the other end of the phone, even just texting, made her feel a bit safer. She could focus on something real, a task to be done, and not dwell on what had just happened to her. Her mind wasnât yet ready to deal with making something real that shouldnât be real. She tapped out a text to Luci.Â
>Ok b there soonÂ
>>Thx!!! âşÂ
Shonda opened the door to Andyâs office, looked to her left and then right. The hall was empty. She tiptoed out, clutching her phone to her chest. She felt the outline of the key fob in her pocket, and ran down the hall keeping her eyes peeled. She didnât see the green-skinned girl, but there was a muddy footprint on the floor, near her locker.Â
She rushed out into the rain. She glanced around the pool grounds with her hand cupped over her eyes. A clap of thunder rumbled when she reached her motherâs Subaru. She unlocked it and threw herself into the driverâs seat, shivering so badly her teeth chattered.Â
She looked through the window, and peered around the edge of the pool. It was empty. Shonda breathed evenly and started the car. She flipped on the windshield wipers and drove the half mile to the library.Â
Luci stood under the awning holding a pile of Harry Potter books. She ran to the car and Shonda opened the door from the inside.Â
âThanks, Shon!â Luci said and fastened her seatbelt.Â
âNo problem. Youâre lucky the pool closed early,â Shonda said.
âI knew it would be closed from the rain. Andy closes the pool if a bird poops from the sky.âÂ
Shonda nodded. Luci looked at her.Â
âWas he there today, or did you have to close up by yourself?â Luci asked.Â
âHe had to do some work over at the graveyard,â Shonda said with a sigh. âHeâs the groundskeeper there, too.âÂ
âAre you okay? You lookâŚkinda freaked out.âÂ
âIâm fine.âÂ
âYou donât look fine.â
âThanks,â Shonda snapped. She flipped down the sun visor to glance at herself in the mirror. Her face was ashen and her eyes were so wide she could see white all around her pupils.Â
âShon, what happened?â
Shonda took a deep breath and told her sister what sheâd seen at the pool. How frightened she was crouching behind the desk. The muddy footprint by her locker.Â
âShe looked like one of those zombies from the movie we watched last week,â Shonda said.Â
âCome on, you were just imagining it. You saw someone leaving the pool, and the noises you heard were from the rainstorm. And you said you were looking at Maggieâs flyer, thatâs probably why her face was in your mind. Iâm pretty sure you didnât see a zombie girl!âÂ
Luci chuckled. Shonda managed to crack a smile. She knew her sister was right. But she also knew what she saw.Â
âWhat about the muddy footprint?â Shonda said.Â
âProbably from someone rushing through the locker room.â Â
Shonda nodded, but she couldnât ignore a nagging thought, that the area surrounding the pool was concreteâhow would someoneâs feet get muddy?Â
She pulled into their driveway, and they rushed inside the house as thunder rumbled. Luci plopped her books on the table by the door.Â
âMom said we can order takeout since sheâs working late. Letâs get Chinese food!âÂ
Later on, while the sisters enjoyed egg rolls and fried rice, Luci asked how summer school was going. Shonda shrugged.Â
âAre you ready for the Wuthering Heights test next week?â Luci asked.Â
Shondaâs eyes widened. âOh no! I canât believe I forgot my notes!â
âWhere are they?â
âI left them in my locker at the pool.âÂ
âIâll go back with you to get them.âÂ
âReally?âÂ
Luci nodded. âAnd Iâll prove it was just your imagination when we donât see any zombies at the pool.â
Luci smirked. It was moments like this when Shonda wondered who the true older sister was.Â
The rain slowed down to a drizzle while they drove to the pool. Shonda kept thinking she saw the missing girl, flitting through the edges of the trees that lined the sidewalk. But when she blinked, sheâd see nothing out of normal place. Nothing but swaying images, breezes through the brain caused by paranoia.Â
They pulled up to the pool, and Shonda parked. She took out her set of keys to unlock the gate.Â
âYou ready?â she asked Luci, who nodded.Â
They got out of the car and walked toward the fence surrounding the pool. The chirps of crickets in the grass greeted them and the silhouette of the streetlamps glowed onto the ground. A quiet night, but a hesitant one. The kind of atmosphere that breeds just after a thunderstorm.Â
Shondaâs eyes darted left and right as she hurried along the fence with Luci behind her. She got to the gate and unlocked it, and they went inside to the locker room.Â
Shondaâs locker was the third one on the right. She twirled her combination, Luciâs birthday, and the door opened. Resting atop her fanny pack with first-aid supplies and spare whistle was her copy of Wuthering Heights, with pages of notes sticking out making a bookmark.
Something moved and shuffled behind her. Shonda gasped and whipped around, her book in her hand.Â
Luci screamed.Â
Standing before her was Mr. Gregory, the chemistry teacher who died of a heart attack last spring. His cheeks were sagging, his eyes hollowed out. He was so decomposed most of his skin was missing. He reached out toward Luci, her face frozen in a scream, as green slime oozed off his wrists.Â
Shonda grabbed Luci and tugged her arm as they ran down the hall to Andyâs office. She took one look behind just before they reached the door, and saw them.Â
There were a dozen of them. The missing girl in front and behind her was Mr. Gregory. And next to him was Mrs. Moulaisonâs late father-in-law, his skin waxy green and decaying with rotted hollows.Â
They inched closer, the shuffling sounds of their feet magnified, intensified as if every creature standing there had just climbed out from their wet graves, wanting to taste the air. Their desperate arms reached out while their rotted feet inched closer, shortening the distance between them, and life.Â
Shonda pushed open the door to Andyâs office and shuffled Luci inside. She slammed the door behind them. She could hear wet muddy footsteps pacing around the door. Thick, throaty warbles in the air. She was so scared she could barely breathe.Â
They crouched behind Andyâs desk, and hugged each other. Shonda squeezed her eyes shut, and prayed it was just a dream. That any moment sheâd wake up in her bed, her mother soothing her from a nightmare, and offering her a gross cup of warm milk.
âI c-canât believe it,â Luci whispered. âDid we just seeâŚwere those reallyâŚzombies?âÂ
âI donât know,â Shonda whispered.Â
âThat girl in frontâŚwas Maggie, wasnât she?â Luci was shivering. Shonda rubbed her shoulders.Â
âW-what are we going to do?â Luci asked.Â
Shonda glanced at the window behind Andyâs desk. She stood and went over to it, her sneakers squeaking against the floor.Â
âCome on,â she whispered. âWeâre on the ground level. We can just climb out.âÂ
Shonda unlocked the window and eased it open. She looked out and checked the surrounding bushes. No movement. She went back to the desk and wheeled out the chair.Â
âStep up here,â she whispered to Luci.Â
Shonda held the chair steady as her sister climbed out through the window. From the other side of the door, she could hear rushed, wet shuffling sounds. The doorknob started to twist and jiggle. She couldnât remember if sheâd locked the door. She didnât wait to find out and climbed onto the chair while it teetered on its wheels.Â
As Shonda pulled herself over the window pane and landed on the lawn outside, the door to Andyâs office eased open. She looked through the window, her pulse racing faster than ever. Mr. Gregory came through the door, followed by the rest of the creatures.Â
âLetâs go!â Shonda turned and pulled Luci, but she didnât move.Â
âAndy?â Luciâs voice trembled.Â
Shonda looked up at her six-foot-four boss Andy, who stood there aiming a shotgun at them.Â
âGet down!â Andy shouted.Â
Shonda tugged her sister to the ground and covered her. The ear-splitting sound of the shotgun firing was rattling. She looked up and saw part of Mr. Gregoryâs head gone while his zombie body dangled half out of the window.Â
âCome on!â Andy pulled the girls up from the ground. âMy truckâs parked over here.âÂ
He ushered them into his pickup truck idling near the curb. Shonda kept her arm around her sister, who was trembling so hard her teeth were chattering.Â
âWhat are you two doing here?â Andy said as he stashed his shotgun behind the driverâs seat.Â
âI left notes in my locker for my test next week,â Shonda said, her voice shaky.Â
âStay away whenever it rainsâŚthey always show up here when it rains, especially after a thunderstorm. Thatâs why I always close the pool as soon as clouds appear.âÂ
âDo they only come out in the summer?â Luci asked.Â
âYup,â Andy said. âItâs like a zombie summer vacation.âÂ
As they pulled into the road, Shonda saw one of the creatures walking in the middle of the street. She pointed it out to Andy, who ran over it with his truck as they drove away.

The Importance of Check the Golf Course
It's possible to know right away the way the program is laid out. It is an interesting mixture of moorland and parkland golf. If you're a golf enthusiast and you haven't visited Gold coast golf courses, then you've certainly missed something.
The 3 kinds Of Bags There are 3 primary kinds of golf bags and each one has a different function. There are 4 sets of tees it is possible to pick from on the training course, and a practice centre, the celebrated Jolie Ville International Golf Academy, where you are able to learn the most recent methods to golf or brush your current style cot den inox. Promotional golf umbrellas are surely the ideal approach to be viewed.
Volcanoes National Park'' is among the most renowned places in Hawaii. Hawaii is called the ultimate golf destination. Stay Classic Golf courses have a tendency to get a more conventional dress code, therefore it's ideal to wear classic clothing items on the green.
Guests who want to have the golf program but don't have enough time to play a round, can delight in the practice facility as a portion of the everyday resort charge. Among the most appealing things about the game of golf is the simple fact that it's not played on a normal dimensions or shape playing field like the majority of other sports. Furthermore, it's also a good deal of fun.
A lot of people visit different cities of the state to learn more about the colorful history, varied art and architecture, and numerous cultural venues. For many, all of the recreation wanted is the easy pleasure of sunbathing poolside and that group won't be disappointed. There are a couple things to consider and which will help be sure that you choose just the right all inclusive golf vacation destination for yourself.
To date, it has enabled me to improve my game. Often the best method to improve or golf game is to modify the way we think. Short game remains the business end of every round, and has to be mastered for consistently reduced scores.
Make certain also to carefully read the description of the state of the items you're buying, and be sure the photos have the actual items for sale as an alternative to stock photos. Rain checks haven't any cash value. The weather is completely perfect for golfing each and every day during that seven month period.
You are not likely to be in a position to abide by the green you are golfing from since you are likely to be wearing some off the wall brand. You are able to outline your miniature golf hole with bricks, so the ball doesn't go past the level. After all it is the ball that we would like to go near the flag, and it's the club that it will hit it there.
You have to prevent the bunkers to prepare the third shot to a green with a wide variety of pin placements bao gia cot co inox. Ideally you wish to plan ahead of time and have tee times all reserved well in advance so you're sure to have a spot on the training course. For instance, a golfer is thought to have a bogey if he's taken five strokes to finish a par four hole.
You will not locate a more hospitable climate or people on earth. There aren't lots of forced carries. A lot of people think practice makes perfect but they're wrong.
Then you can buy a bag that suits your requirements. It is possible to create an easy foundation with the assistance of plywood. A better strategy is to add value so that you can increase instead of decrease prices.

[The Keihancarl Diaries: June 24, 2017]
Once again, this is me Keihancarl. You already knew me, right?
To be honest, I hate last-minute plans for a city travel... but I did it anyway. Manila was my chosen itinerary for this one, focusing mostly on Binondo and Ermita. I just have a sudden urge to do this, even though I was initially planning on Ortigas-Greenhills for this month. Oh well...
To begin with, the traffic was incredibly slow all the way to Novaliches. And it doesnât stop there, as thereâs also heavy traffic along Mindanao Avenue. This was kind of expected, thatâs why I decided to leave the house as early as possible. Approaching EDSA, I decided to get off the UV Express I was riding even though I already paid my fare up to Monumento. It turns out that I made a wrong decision getting off near the Congressional-EDSA junction, and I have to walk as fast as I could (and climb up and down the footbridge as if Iâm in a real hurry) just to catch the next train going to Baclaran.
As soon as I reached the LRT-1 Roosevelt station, my eyes and skin (particularly on the face and ears) got itchy and I immediately dig through my bag for the mirror, alcohol, and my OTC med (Loratadine). I took a Loratadine tablet during the train ride, and as soon as I made it to my first stop, SM San Lazaro, I immediately head to the mallâs restroom to cool my face and eyes with water. Though I still feel uncomfortable, I feel a slight relief and I went on visiting a few shops before heading to my next stop, in Binondo and Divisoria.
##########
En route to Divisoria, the traffic is significantly lighter, particularly along Recto Avenue. Along the way, I did snap some pictures of the newly-renovated LRT1-Doroteo Jose station.
Arriving at 999 Mall in Divisoria, I was feeling hungry and I can really use a chow, so I decided to head to the food court first. Since Iâm on a limited budget, I could have decided on a four piece dim sum (siomai in particular) or a hamburger, but I just noticed a fried rice stall and thatâs what I had for lunch. I ordered a minced beef fried rice. For a reasonable price of 55 pesos (as of this writing), it was surprisingly delicious.
I decided to do some window shopping in the aforementioned mall and its neighbor 168 Mall, but of course, I couldnât find anything worth buying. As usual, I drop by the stall where I bought my anime shirts at 999 Mall, and the stall that sells anime and K-pop merch at 168 Mall. Again, I couldnât find anything worth buying. At this point, I didnât feel like continuing the window shopping and decided to go to their upscale neighbor, the Lucky Chinatown Mall. I rest for a while at the lounge (at the cinema level) while reading some of my own works and did a little story writing as well.
Itâs already 3:30 in the afternoon, but I feel like exploring the rest of Ongpin Street. In my previous Manila side trip, I only get to see some parts of Ongpin during the Dragon Dance, but it was raining that time and I was feeling exhausted with all the people and everything so I turn left to a street leading to Soler, and up to the three malls in the area. This time, however, I took my time and took some photographs, and walked my way up to Plaza Sta. Cruz, near the LRT-Carriedo station. And I just passed by one of the tallest buildings in Binondo, the Anchor Skysuites, a residential building in Ongpin. Though I always see the well-lighted tall building at night while passing Quezon Bridge, it is the first time I get to see the building up close.
Just before reaching the LRT-Carriedo Station, I noticed a crowd of people, an ambulance, a fire truck, and some policemen in the area. It appears that there were three people lying on the ground for unknown reasons (one of them was being carried to an ambulance, to be taken to a nearby hospital) and as I walked to the station, I managed to see two of the victims up close. They were bloodied and badly injured, I assumed that they fell down from the LRT station or from the nearby building. Meanwhile, the security guards cordoned some parts of the stationâs concrete railings to discourage onlookers from checking the scene and for their safety as well. I didnât bother asking some of the people on the station for some information, though. The other victims were eventually brought to the hospital.
##########
Inside the LRT, I just noticed something interesting. Itâs actually a reminder about not leaning on the doors, but of course, some of us tend to be creative when it comes to this sort of thing. Well, thereâs an image of a man hugged by a woman with the message âKapit ka na lang kay crush, wag na sa pintong itoâ (hang on to your crush, not on this door). Reaching LRT-Central Terminal station near Manila City Hall and SM City Manila (Iâm quite obsessed with providing the names of notable landmarks, eh?), I just noticed some interesting makeover of the said LRT station. Some of the concrete railings and some posts in the vicinity are painted with images of Coca-Cola bottles. Is this an ad deal for the said stations? Turns out it is. A slight improvement, though not pleasing for the eyes since they are mostly painted red. At least, they didnât paint the entire station red, or else the LRTÂ commuters will surely riot... just kidding!
After a quick visit to SM City Manila, I dropped by the bookstore in the underpass and take a good look at some of the used books, particularly some manga titles. I then went on to my next destination, Rizal Park.
##########
I suddenly find myself walking along P. Burgos Avenue, on the side of the Intramuros Golf Course. That area looks kind of creepy to me, and the sight of trash and some street dwellers just doesnât seem right for a city that attracts foreign tourists. Aside from that, some of the old trees along the pedestrian walk were cut down, for some reason. I then passed by the National Museum and check the museumâs rules. Afterwards, I head straight to Rizal Park.
I know there's a possibility of a thunderstorm in the afternoon, so itâs a good thing that I brought my umbrella with me. I felt large rain drops as I passed by Rizalâs Monument, and I brought out my umbrella. Because of the thunderstorm, I didnât go to the esplanade (Baywalk) and head straight to Robinsons Place Manila instead. I had to seek shelter from the rain a few times, despite having an umbrella in hand. The wind was blowing hard and I donât want to risk getting my umbrella destroyed.
##########
Going home, the traffic is lighter than usual. A moderate, moving traffic. At least the UV Express I was riding didnât have to take a shortcut. Anyway, the UV Express turn right at Regalado Avenue and I get to see the actual construction of the future rail line, the MRT-7. I took some photos of the construction site, but of course, itâs impossible to do this on a moving vehicle, at a time like this, and with a not-so-good smartphone camera.
And that ends my unplanned city travel. Except for the allergy, there were no untoward incidents as the last time [I visit Manila] three months ago.
